Sup

Süp is a labor of love coming from the heart and dreams of Christian and Kasey Christensen. It's a unique restaurant that specializes in soups and sandwiches.

The couple’s combined 24 years in restaurant service and ownership fed their desire to create a new and excitingly different dining experience in Reno. They've won several local awards in their few years of operation including: Best Of Reno Magazine Awards, Reno Magazine, 2007 | 2008, Reno News & Review's Best of Northern Nevada Awards, 2008: Best New Restaurant, Best Soups and Reno News & Review's Best of Northern Nevada Awards, 2009: Best Solo Dining, Best Soups, Best Hidden Treasure, Best Gourmet Take Out.

Sup redefines the soup experience. Last time I was there, I had the portobello mushroom sandwich served on a jalapeno roll. Imagine grilled portobello, eggplant and zucchini along with hummus, baby greens, melted provolone and a balsamic dressing on a toasted baguette. I tend to stick to their sandwiches sine I am not a soup person, but on another visit on a Saturday I had the mushroom barley soup, and it was to die for.

I highly recommend this Sup, but it can be crazy busy during lunch hour, with the line usually going out the door and down the street.
