Reno Ballroom Project

Reno Ballroom Project

1/22/07 - FENCES UP AROUND CITY CENTER PAVILLION: On my last drive through that area to the freeway I noticed fences up around the Pavillion, as well as some kind of work going on inside.

The Reno Ballroom will match the design of the Reno Events Center, and will be a nice compliement to the Reno Events Center. Managed by three major downtown casinos, this project will be located on 4th and Center Sts., where the current warehouse-chic City Center Pavillion is. I believe construction on this project will happen swiftly, as there are already Clark and Sullivan construction trailers parked in the blank lot north of the planned Ballroom project.

it's all lit up BIGTIME now and apparently has had a function for the Elk people. It's a major downtown improvement and hopefully gets a lot of use.

from http://www.circusreno.com/meetingsandbanquets/downtownrenoballroom.aspx Opening in early 2008, the new Ballroom in Downtown Reno is conveniently located two blocks from Circus Circus and is a great complement to the Reno Events Center located just across the street. The facility will feature 28,000 square feet of flexible function space for banquets, meetings, and breakout sessions.

I was at the Collegiate boxing event for 2 nights and the new Ballroom is great. They could get a lot of boxing in there....they need more stands. I think the Eldorado/Silver Legacy ran a nice event. There were boxers from Pennsylvania, Kentucky, the Air Force Academy, West Point, Navy, UNLV, and of course Nevada.
