Reno River Festival
The Reno River Festival is a yearly event located in downtown Reno along the riverwalk, and in Reno's urban whitewater park.
The festival has consistently grown each consecutive year, and now draws thousands of people to downtown Reno. From the infamous Run Amuck race to full-on adrenaline pumping whitewater action, this festival has it all.
Renoites consider this festival the gateway into our 'festival season' stretching from May until October each year. It's usually warm enough in early May for shorts and tank tops, although tourists who don't regularly brave winters here may feel more comfrtable in jeans and a t-shirt.
The Reno River Festival is nationally broadcast each year, and in 2009 was sponsored by Subaru.
