The Bruka Theater is located on the Corner of First and Virginia Sts, across the River from the Riverside Artists Lofts, and across the street from the 10 North Virginia Plaza, in the heart of hte performing arts district.

This theater is cozy, and a great venue to catch a play like Reefer Madness: the Musical. They also have an entire section devoted to Children's Theater, and regulalry hold workshops for both adults and children. They are very active in the community, and regularly participate in downtown events such as the Wine Walk. They have a sub-theater as well, more like a groovy lounge, where additional performances are held. If the Pioneer was 'Broadway' then the Bruka would definitely be considered 'Off-Broadway'. There's some amazing talent hidden in Reno, and the performances I attend at Bruka are no different than the off-Broadway shows in NYC or L.A.
