Check out the new sign-guides depicting the legacy of West Street, and how it got it's name. This beautiful art also features relics from the historic Mapes building, which was demolished years ago. On the other sign is a guide to what makes a successful street median, and how pieces of the Mapes were incorporated into the art.
On your next walk downtown, stop and take a peek! This is an awesome, interactive use of a street median. Special thanks to Ross Apartments, City of Reno and Truckee Meadows Waters Authority for the funding.
