I'm really stoked to see downtown solidifying its own art walk. There IS art to see downtown, both in and out of art galleries, and here's your chance to explore downtown galleries and venues in a fun setting with hundreds of other art lovers. More than 100 artists will be joining in.
The Art Walk is July 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and local and regional artists will have art in 14 stops, between Liberty Street and Second Street, and Virginia Street and Arlington Avenue.
The launch point is Liberty Fine Art Gallery, located at 100 West Liberty Street. Tickets are $10, which includes a glass, raffle ticket and program for the evening. The event ends with a raffle drawing at Z Pie in West Street Market. Prizes include a $200.00 voucher good towards any piece of art shown on the walk.
The featured artist for July is Mallory Mishler. A limited-edition, hand-painted glass by Mallory Mishler is included in the $15 ticket.Limited Edition prints of “Andrew the Chariot” from the upcoming Tarot Card Series also will be available for purchase.
A portion of this month’s proceeds will benefit The Eddy House, a non-profit organization that provides supportive residential housing to young adult males who have “aged out” of the foster care system.
Hope to see you all out and about!
