Pies with a Purpose Fundraiser

by Mike Van Houten / Apr 23, 2014

Pies with a Purpose is a culinary showcase in support of The Eddy House, where Downtown Reno's top chefs, including Larry Dunning of Bowl, Joseph Bell of Wild River Grille, as well as chefs from Noble Pie Parlor, The Jungle, Brewer's Cabinet, Jax on the Tracks, Homage Bakery and more come together to support the Eddy House. Each chef will be creating their version of a gourmet pie for you to enjoy, along with beer and wine from Southern Wine and Spirits and Crown Imports, and locally roasted coffee from the Woodfire Roasted Coffee Company.

The event will feature live music, and an auction with items you will not want to miss. We look forward to seeing you there.

Each year approximately 50 youth will age out of the foster system in Reno. Many of these youth will end up homeless or incarcerated.

The Eddy House is a local non-profit whose mission is to help these young adults make a successful transition to independence through an independent living home providing a supportive and educational environment, and a work experience program at Z-Pie Reno, located in the West Street Market.
