A new art gallery in midtown, connected with a tattoo shop, opens this Saturday.

The Lasting Dose Gallery, located at 876 S. Virginia St., is a new non-traditional gallery in Midtown.

Mike Curatello, who was owner of the tattoo shop Nightmare Studio, is remodeling the tattoo shop and adjoining space, renaming the shop Lasting Dose Tattoo. Curatello and Kelsey Owens, a local artist, are co-curators. The pair are hustling to have the space ready by Saturday. The wood floors were just laid and the art won’t be hung until Friday. The inaugural exhibition is a group show, featuring many popular local artists including Aric Shapiro, Pan Pantoja, Matt Schultz, Joe C Rock, Handsome Hernan, Michael Heltebrake, Bryce Chisholm and so many more.
