A permit has been filed for 36 new studio apartments at 418 California Avenue, currently a vacant lot.
The permit reads:
CAL AVE STUDIOS
APARTMENTS. NEW CONSTRUCTION OF A PROJECT THAT CONSISTS OF (1) MIXED USE BUILDING CONSISTING OF (36) STUDIO APARTMENTS AND (8) GARAGES.
A while back, a special use permit was submitted for this project (renderings are in the PDF) but I'm unsure if the project has changed in scope or design at all since then.
