Permits are now official for two west downtown Reno projects.
5th and Vine has submitted its permits for construction of two apartment buildings.
Permit One reads:
COMMERCIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION. BUILDING 1: 4-STORY RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT BUILDING OF TYPE V-A WOOD CONSTRUCTION. CONTAINS 83 DWELLING UNITS. FULLY SPRINKLERED WITH A NFPA 13 SYSTEM.
Permit Two for this project reads:
COMMERCIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION. 4 TO 5 STORY RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT BUILDING OF TYPE V-A WOOD & TYPE I-A CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING RELATED AMENITY SPACES. 213 DWELLING UNITS. FULLY SPRINKLERED WITH A NFPA 13 SYSTEM.
This project will feature almost 300 units when complete, and feature amenities such as:
- Swimming Pool and seating in Courtyard
- Rooftop deck with lounge and gathering space overlooking Downtown Reno
- Fitness Center with cardio, free weights, and a separate Fitness On Demand room
- Package Room with ample space to meet modern delivery needs
- Covered parking
- Dog park

The other permit is for mass grading site work for Jacob Entertainment's first new apartment project on the corner of 2nd Street and Arlington.
