Permit submitted for new coffee shop in new Vesta apartment building

by Mike Van Houten / Jul 30, 2024

A permit has been submitted for a new coffee shop, titled 'Carlin Coffee' in the Notes Section of the permit, for the commercial space on the ground floor of the new apartments being built on the corner of Holcomb and Vesta. Speaking of this project, located at 121 Vesta, I am really loving the tri-color paint scheme, especially the green. That, combined with the large balconies helps combat the box-effect that plagues most apartment buildings. The project sits wedged between MidTown and the Wells Avenue District. It's directly in my neighborhood on my same street, and the walkability of this hood is amazing, being walking distance to the best spots on Wells Ave AND MidTown.

The permit reads:

LANDLORD IMPROVEMENTS FOR FUTURE COFFEE SHOP, TENANT TO BE DETERMINED. INCLUDES ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, & PLUMBING.

121 Vesta
