It's another various permits and tidbits post!
20 California Avenue - Remember Newman's Deli? This is that space. A while back it was remodeled to expose the birck walls and a staircase added to the upper floor. Now there's a tenant improvement permit. This is the last vacant space in the little commercial complex where Rare Tea, Wheyfarer Cheese and Elixer also call home.
280 University Way - A permit has been submitted for the new ADA restrooms in the Amtrak Station downtown, which is the first step in opening up the more historic area of the station. I'd love to see the historic portion be a mini-museum of Reno's railroad history.
235 Ralston, 401 West 2nd Street, 276 Washington Street - Jacobs Entertainment's permits for his first three soccer fields downtown. The permits include parking lot demolitions for 401 W 2nd Street and 276 Washington Street, and grading improvements on the vacant lot at 235 Ralston.
333 Holcomb Avenue - A few days ago I saw a fleet of moving vans moving furniture out of Dickson Realty's downtown headquarters at 33 Holcomb and thought to myself, are they moving? I still don't know if they are moving, or just temporarily relocating, but there's a permit for a $300,000+ remodel of the building. Anyone know if Dickson permanently moved out or just moved everything out of the three-story office building to remodel it?
740 South Virginia Street - This is Jus' old location in the Stick Development. There's a tenant improvement permit for a new tenant. In the short notes it reads 'ALIOTO'S FOCACCERIA' which could be the name of the new tenant.
