The Riverboat, pizza restaurant, vacant drug store downtown sells for $11.2 million

The 'Riverboat', adjacent pizza restaurant and vacant commercial space that 'almost' going to be a Longs Drugs, has sold for $11.2 million

The building was once a riverboat-themed hotel casino, complete with fake smokestacks and paddlewheels. When it closed, the upper floors became apartments, the ground level was on the verge of becoming a Longs Drugs, and even went through a remodel complete with sto\re shelving, only for Longs Drugs to be swallowed up by CVS, who chose not to open a store there and instead simply pay the lease while it remained empty. I was pretty furious about it.

Anyway, it has a new owner!

Looks like it could be the same fund that owns the building next door at 100 N Sierra St

What’s the deal with the Sierra Tap House building? Wasn’t the new owner supposed to give that building a facelift and renovations?
