At the last Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board meeting, the advisory board reviewed different rebranding options for the Reno Redevelopment Agency rebrand.
While logo and brand identity options vary (there are three options the RDA board will get to make recommendations on) the new name of the Reno Redevelopment Agency will be RE:UP (or re:up if the lower case version is selected)
I cue'd up the presentation to the Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board below.
The new brand stems from combining two concepts. The RE: in RE:UP represents Reno, Redevelopment, Revitalization, Reinvest, Reimagine, Repurpose, Rediscover, Revamp, Reignite, while the UP represents Urban Placemakers, Upgrade, Uplift, Update, Upsell, Upside, Updriver.
The full new name of the Reno Redevelopment Agency will be 'Reno Redevelopment and Urban Placemaking Agency.'
The presentation above dives into the how and why of the new concept, so I strongly encourage you to watch it, it's not very long. The concept includes some great iconography that can be switched out depending on the use of the logo and visuals. You can find those icons below in the gallery.
