A building permit is in review for a 12-story tall student housing project at 1050 15th Street, sort of across the street from the fitness center at University of Nevada, Reno.
The permit reads:
STUDENT HOUSING BUILDING. 12 STORIES, 9 STORY RES OVER 3 STORY GARAGE, INCL GRADING, SITE, UTILITIES, STRUCT, ELECT, PLUMB, & MECH
That's all the info I have for now, I'm sure we'll learn more soon! North Virginia Street is beginning to look like a corridor of tall student housing projects.
When will they ever add retail along that street on the ground floor? There needs to be a college district with places for students to patronize, eat and shop . . . not just a street full of bedrooms?
