The Montage, located at 255 North Sierra Street, is getting painted and refurbished, according to a letter to homeowners from their management company.
The paint job will be quite radical in contrast to its current colors, going with a dark gray, almost black, at the street level, and a vertical line design going up the center of the building.
The first of the construction project for Montage is the repair and resealing of the exterior of the building to protect it from water-intrusion. This work has just recently begun. As the walls of our exterior are being repaired, the paint will be applied.
High-rise experts Perkins Eastman presented the Montage board with the new color scheme on March 10, and the board adopted the new color scheme. Check out the images below! You can find some test color swatches already on the building on the north side.
We live at the Montage and find it a respectable residence. Repainting is definitely in order BUT the inclusion of sparkly lit up strips on the upright sides of the building will make us look more like a casino than an upper class residence. It cheapens our condominiums, not the place we have been proud to reside for over 10 years.
