Today the City of Reno announced the second round of awardees in ReStore Reno, an initiative aimed to reinvigorate and reignite the downtown area by offering matching grants to property owners and business tenants for facade improvements and interior upgrades. Between the two rounds of funding, nearly $1,050,000 have been invested into the program.
The announcement was made at Birdeez, at 151 North Sierra, a soon-to-be entertainment complex that will feature cutting edge indoor golf, state=of-the-art darts, a full kitchen, restaurant, and more. Check out some preview construction pics below, along with pics of the event.
Between the two rounds of funding, the total economic improvement value is $5.7 million dollars.

As part of ReStore, the City is matching eligible costs up to $50,000 for exterior facade improvement projects and up to $50,000 for interior
tenant improvement projects. Some applicants can be reimbursed up to $100,000 if they combine facade and tenant improvements.
These projects will enter into a grant agreement with the City, outlining the terms and conditions of the funding. Awardees will have 90
days to submit a building permit application and an additional 180 days to complete the work upon approval.
