Holcomb Place Townhomes Construction
Move

Townhouses at Holcomb Place - No construction crews on-site for quite a while now. Anyone know what's going on?
-
Not much has changed since the last time I photographed them

The Auto Museum is getting some sort of new heating or cooling system on the top of their roof.

Downtown riverwalk - A plaza will soon grace the front of that beautiful downtown post office.

The Palladio is looking very lived-in lately, and for good reason. They sold 5 more units in July, three resale units (units for sale by the original buyers) and two new units. The resale units sold on average 35% more than what the original owners bought it for from the developers. By my count, that leaves just 19 out of 92 units left. Obviously, there are people who want to live downtown. :)
-
There was quite the construction project underway at Park Towers, with a major glass replacement task for one of the units.

Park Tower window replacement project
-
Presumably, the windows are meant for the unit where all the construction dudes are staring down waiting for the crane to raise.

Ugly on the Outside, Pretty on the Inside? I can see why the residents who live in Riverwalk Tower are not entirely happy. This isn't pleasant to look at. It ruins West Street, to be honest. I can understand if they can't lease their bottom floor but how about putting an a nice exterior facade at least? A little building improvement might get some nibbles for your retail space too.

Montage Exterior.
-
Montage on 2nd Street side of the building. Most of the brick facade is up and those ultra-cool rectangular pattern windows are installed for the lofts as well.
-
Close up of brick facade. I didn't realize how much brick and mortar is actually going on the first six levels. You can't tell from any of the renderings the Montage has up. It's not panel facade either, they look more like half or quarter-thickness bricks they are putting up with real mortar.

A better look at the mass of windows facing 2nd Street.

Grants Landing Property - Looking good! A great improvement over the weedy mess it was before. I still hope they build these someday. I was a real fan of the architecture involved with them.
