Campo is located in downtown Reno on the Truckee River. It's large river-facing outdoor dining venue and Campo sign is hard to miss when taking a stroll on the Riverwalk.
Upon walking in Campo, you are welcomed with a rustic neighborhood restaurant space, a stark contrast from the modern tones of the Palladio tower outside. Warm tones, lots of wood, and a gorgeous pizza oven from Naples greet you. The cut fire wood lining the kitchen is a clue that the oven, imported from Naples Italy, is wood-fired. Nice.
Campo's philosophy is that local is good, and fresh is better. Fresh, delicious rolled pasta from scratch, VPN-certified pizza, and a whole-hog philosophy with a butcher shop viewable from Sierra Street. The curing case is also in plain sight and in the mornings you can watch the team prepare the recipes.
Campo has a coffee bar that is open from 8 to 11 am (Mon - Fri) and you can grab and go food until 2:30, when lunch service ends. Dinner service begins at 5:30 seven days a week.
