Mike, I hear you loud and clear, but in a city full of developer-abandoned eyesores it's odd to keep writing up that one. There is a horrid pipes-sticking-out-of-the-ground-for-years pit on Idlewild Drive near Shamrock, another similar lot just down the road on Dickerson, and Grants Landing now ranks right up there too. Speaking of the bike path, it sure needs some new blacktop from the Siena to the RGJ...a very rough ride!

Actually this is the first time I pointed out Grant's Landing. Previously, I pointed out Ponte Vecchio and the Waterfront Lot. And to be honest, I don't care who the developer is, their lots should be held to the same standards and city codes that us residents have to follow. There are city codes everyone has to follow. So, I figure embarassing them and calling them out on a site that gets 20,000 visitors a month is better than doing nothing. These are in my neighborhood, I have to look or pass by them every day. Other property owners, such as the little auto-title loan building on Holcomb and Burns across from CitiMart, fell under intense pressure to clean up and de-weed their properties, so why should developers be excluded? That's my point. I would like to see an ordinance passed specifically designed for cases like this.

Some of the best pictures of downtown Reno at night I've seen yet, Mike.
