Mike, I could be wrong, but I believe that the 5 year requirement for retail developement by the Baseball group started when the agreements were signed last September and that it applies to all retail on the Ballpark block, the Mizpah block, beneath the bowling stadium as well as on the current RTC site (after it is vacated). My understanding is that initial retail (Ballpark and Mizpah blocks) is supposed to be completed not long after the ballpark opens next year and ALL the retail is required to be completed on or before Sep 2012 - subject to the RTC relocating sometime in 2010.

If the original white water park was $2 million, and the proposed extension is estimated at $4-5 million, but is 3 times bigger than the original, does that really mean that construction costs have risen dramatically? ; ) Seriously, I think that the extension will really help tie WeFi (hate that name) with the new PO Plaza (hey, now there is a name I can live with!)/10 N. Virginia and down to the new ballpark and development along the river.
