As a lifelong Reno resident, I have to say I'm totally impressed. Finally a downtown Reno project with real vision! Not only will this development breathe new life into Reno, but it will completely makeover Northern Nevada. Bravo!!!!

I must say that I LOVE the redevelopment projects that have been going on in our downtown Reno. My husband and I went down to the river to dine at Wild River Grill (excellent!). The feeling of the area, the activities and the beauty of the newly updated and constructed buildings make it THE place to be in the summer. We just love roaming around and seeing all the fun things that are going on. The Reno development people deserve a huge pat on the back for such a great job! A great possitive face for our little city!

Come on, Callison. Make it TALLER!! It'll be okay! Seriously though, aside from the slightly pretentious name for the project, this looks good. For any who are interested, "Tessera" means "an individual tile in a mosaic," which actually is a very optimistic and ideal name for a benchmark like this sort of project. I'll have to do some more serious reading at the developer's website later on. Thanks for the hard work Mike.

This project has a vibrant feel and a great vision, which are necessary to make Reno a better place to live and work. It would re-energize Reno's downtown making it the heart of the community and a much needed source of entertainment and culture. It would also attract desireable buinesses and diversify and strengthen Reno's economy.

I'm having trouble figuring out where this will be. East of Virgina and north of ... the river?? but thanks for the info anyway. The first Friday night even at the West End Market (aka east side of West Street right now :) was great!

Very ambitious! Lets hope they can pull it off. Remember, every time another 1960's-era Reno motel gets torn down an Angel gets it wings!!!

Looks like one heck of a good project. Kudos, lets get going and get this completed.

This project looks amazing, but there's a 90% chance it won't happen and if it does it will be massively downsized. Sorry Reno.

Hopefully this project will come to realization. It could be a turning point for the Northern Nevada economy, most specifically the downtown Reno area. With a project of this scope, obviously more cleanup of the downtown area would occur, which would serve to make visitors feel more secure, leading to more time spent in the downtown area, and therefore more revenues to come in where they are so badly needed.

Let's not be downers, Jeff, have some hope that this thing WILL get built, and I bet you it will because they see the need and Callison doesn't do anything small when to comes to projects like this.
