Port-of-Subs has a sign up in window. It doesn't say "coming soon," but I think it's safe to say that's what's going in.

The renovation permit on the old La Bussola site is indeed in the name of Port of Subs.

The scale of this project can't be understated. The impact this will have on the region is mind blowing and the scariest part is.... Storey County is not part of the Truckee Meadows Regional Plan (prohibited by state law). The entire project, billed as the largest industrial park in the world, is being developed without consideration of the impacts to the region. They also have not exactly expressed a great deal of interest in building housing in the County either, presumably to maintain the "good old boy" political dynamic. Can't say it's not smart on their part... they get industrial tax base with a low service expenditure. The rest of the region, prohibited by law from officially planning for this potential influx, is facing no growth ballot measures. Let's start acknowledging the real growth issues that need to be addressed statewide first 1. changing state law to acknowledge a realistic view of the Truckee Meadows Region and 2. changing the state property tax structure that forces local governments to promote new and certian kinds of tax friendly)development.
