Wow, that is an impressive document. I didn't read every word, but did manage to kill a couple hours giving it a once-over (some parts got a twice-over). Overall, I have to say I'm impressed. The most important (IMO), and potentially impactful, part of the plan is the community center, something desparately needed downtown. I don't agree with everything suggested in the study -- it seems awfully townhouse-heavy. And, there are parts of the study that are at odds with developments currently in the planning stages (notably the stadium district). I have to say I'm excited to read it over more closely. If the commitment to redevelopment and re-use downtown continues to increase along with the population, we will indeed have a world-class "biggest little city."

Great document, I have spent hours reading it, and I love it. The whole western downtown area will be revitalized, and form its own district. If this happens it will really improve the density in Reno. I wonder if the townhouses would sell?

I doubt much of any real estate would sell right now. Remember this is a long term plan, so I think the townhouses would be built as demand/supply dictates. This would be a guide to developers in the future as to what they would like to see built along there. I think once real estate prices adjust back down to realistic levels, and Reno's housing supply dwindles, you'll see renewed demand for affordable housing in the city core.
