this is great news! The tired signage downtown should have been addressed 20 years ago! Reno wants to be a "destination location" and the awful looking storefronts on a premier street do a lot to make visitors say to themselves "ugh-- THIS is reno"? The Cal-Neva makes a ton of cash and should update it's 1966 marquee frontage. Lots of cities have ordinances about signage in other parts of the country-- it's not about "freedom" but more about common sense. Sorry if I just stated the obvious. It felt good.

great idea and the first thing to be changed should be that tired looking 80's font arch. Does anyone remember the one from the early 70's? I say bring that one back, pointy spires on the ends and reno was in cool looking hexagons. The current arch looks terrible.
