"Uptown18 LLC" has snatched up the Coach Inn at 500 North Center Street for $610,000. Purchased from Northern Nevada Urban Development, this property was going to be part of the larger 'Tessera Entertainment District' a multi-block development which (surprise) never came to fruition.
A quick entity look-up search shows Uptown 18 LLC will be a Haberae project. Considering the building has 21 units, conversion to 18 makes sense.
A future infill project right in the neighborhood we need it most? I hope so!
I'd be curious how NNUD managed to sell it to themselves out of foreclosure in 2013. I always thought there were arm's-length rules on that.
