Exterior paint for Canyon Flats is...interesting

by Mike Van Houten / Oct 17, 2020

Exterior paint continues to be applied to Canyon Flats, located between Center Street and Virginia Street, and 6th and 7th Streets. It was supposed to open earlier but COVID got in the way.

Canyon Flats is a student housing project that is listed among the dorms on University of Nevada Reno's web site. It's quite large, filling a half-city block and wrapping around other residential buildings on the Virginia Street side.

Who let little retarded Timmy from up the street loose with the box of Crayolas? Ghastly building, and not just the paint colors.

The problem is going to be removing the graffiti from the bottom 10 feet of that building as that neighborhood continues to evolve. Hopefully the empty lots aren’t empty for long.

Oh no...seems like they're sticking with that baby blue. It's now becoming an eyesore and the design doesn't make it any better :/

looks like vomit. I can see how it can look like the desert landscape with a sunrise, but it also strongly looks like vomit.
