In this four-session class, students (ages 10+) will explore the art of building cartoons through drawing, story line, and character development. We will discuss the different types, formats, and styles of each. Students will be taught the basic skills to start creating their own comic, learning basic structure, flow and storytelling. Participants will also be working on basic drawing skills needed to create a successful comic. We will go over character design as well as set and environment design. This class is heavily grounded in drawing and sketching through all of these processes, but taught at the student’s skill level.
This class takes places on Mondays, 4:00 – 6:00 pm, no class Sept 3. $60 for 4 sessions and includes all materials!
The class takes place in the Garden Pavilion. Park in our lot off Arlington Ave. and walk up the stairs. This class is instructed by Jason Williams. See more of his work here!
