Renaissance Hotel/Siena has pulled a $2.1 million permit for: 

SIENA HOTEL-REMODEL. 1ST FLOOR: EXTERIOR WALL OPENINGS,LIGHTS, NON-BEARING FRAMING AND NEW MEZZANINE SUPPORT, FINISHES. 2ND FLOOR: NEW OPERABLE FOLDING PARTITIONS, NEW LIGHTING, AND NONBEARING FRAMING AND FINISHES. 3RD FLOOR: (2) NEW MODEL ROOMS, FINSHES, ELEC. DEMO DONE ON BLD16.

Also, on the Washoe County Recorder site, fellow blogger ReReno stumbled across a $44,000,000 Deed of Trust transaction, presumably for construction financing?  It's Washoe Recorder Doc 4538919, check it out, I'm not sure what it is, but it sounds big.
