Park Place, one of the larger student housing projects happening along North Virginia Street, has surpassed pie-in-the-sky mode and now has building permits in pplan reivew. In addtion they submitted permits for grading their site as well. Park Place originally reported here when they filed for demo permits.
The permit reads:
APARTMENT BUILDING. MIXED USE. CONSTRUCT 7 STORY PRECAST PARKING STRUCTURE AND 5 STORY WOOD FRAMED APARTMENT STRUCTURE. INCLUDES SITE IMPROVEMENTS & LANDSCAPINGROVEMENTS & LANDSCAPING.

Amenities are pretty robust and include a two-story fitness center and basketball court on top of a five-story parking garage. The clubhouse includes sports courts, a gym, a pool, and golf simulator. The project itself will be a long five-story building.
There will be 267 units and 762 beds.
The project is being developed by Park7 Group, a New York City-based, vertically integrated developer, general contractor, owner and operator of large-scale student housing assets in college towns across the country. They were founded in 2010 and since their inception, have developed over $500 million in student housing properties.
