A downtown motel on the corner of Stevenson and 1st Street has a permit for interior demolition.
An older Loopnet ad describes the motel as having 48 units with nine kitchenette suites and five jacuzzi rooms.
I 'think' this is the Riviera Motel, though are there some conflicting addresses that give me pause. It also includes the 21,000 sf vacant lot next to it.
So the interior of the building will be gutted. I'm guesing future permits will reveal what this project is to become. The permit holder is named 'Villas on the River' - Is that a possible clue as to what's in store?
