Meadows Bank, a community bank, is opening a branch downtown at BofA's former space at 50 West Liberty Street. The goal is to be open by October.
They are taking up about half the space the large BofA branch originally occupied, on the first floor of the building on the corner or Liberty and South Virginia.
The interior design will include reclaimed wood for the counters, granite flooring, and more. "It won't look like your typical bank branch," Northern Nevada Regional President Dennis "Denny" Williams described to me.
This will be Meadows Bank's second Reno branch, with the first located at 6518 South McCarran Blvd. They also have branches in Las Vegas, Henderson, Phoenix and Pahrump.
Meadows Bank offers personal checking, business checking, small business administratoin loans, and many more services, and like to distinguish themselves from 'the big guys' as more of a service-driven community bank.
The hours of operation will be Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The downtown branch won't have walk-up or drive-thru ATM's, however on of the feature of banking with Meadows Bank is you can use your debit card at any bank location 8 times a month without incurring any fees.
