New Activity at Hudson Project?

by Mike Van Houten / Jan 19, 2016

The Hudson Project was a multi-block development planned for downtown at Center and Pine Street. Brian Egan championed some amazing apartment renovations seen here, before the project stalled a bit. The plan was to convert the office building north of the Pine Street Market into lofts. Now, is there renewed activity?

On my walk back to my office from city hall today, I noticed that the Pine Street Market was closed, at 4 pm on a Tuesday, and all sorts of newspaper was pinned up on the windows. Also, there was some kind of demolition activity happening on the upper floor of the office building, as well as the office building across the street, which was probably unrelated. Check out the pics!

A demo permit was pulled for the office building on State and Center pictured above. The plans were to turn this into lofts. Could the Hudson project be firing up again?

Work going on in the office building across the street.
