From the crew that brought you one of my favorite venues downtown, Wurk, back in 2010, will come The Bird, a new thumpin' night club set to open October of 2016. Though the exact address is yet to be announced (they will hopefully sign the lease this week) it will be on East 4th Street in the Brewery District.
The night club will feature Reno's first full Funktion One sound system, which is a big deal to lovers of electronic music and beyond. Crisp, loud, and with enough bass to rattle your organs loose, when installed it will be one of the best sound systems in Northern Nevada.
If you aren't familiar with Funktion One, you might be familiar with Burning Man, where Funktion One speakers power everything from the much-loved day camp Distrikt to mobile art cars such as insomniac.
