The Ballpark Apartments, a project located between Lake and Evans and 2nd Street, will break ground April 15 with a ceremony planned.
The ceremony is planned for April 15 at 1 pm, with Mayor Hillary Schieve making remarks on the 1000 Homes in 120 Days project.
The northern portion of the project (non riverfront portion) will be the first phase that is breaking ground, and will feature 368 units and a parking garage, according to the permit.
The renderings look nice. But I really wish this could have been more of a high-rise development, with mixed commercial space, and some public parking options for the area. Newer projects need to be planning for higher density and greater height.
