960 South Virginia, the former Coca-Cola bottling plant/Junkee building has sold for $7,850,000. It sold to Nick, LLC. Loving the LLC name. Marmot Properties owner Bathuan Zadeh described the buyer as a 'really cool local family.'
Marmot Properties will continue to manage the building, and mentioned a few additional exterior improvements are coming. Their office will remain on the upper floor.
The new owners paid cash for the building with a 30-day close, and according to Batuhan, are big beleivers in the MidTown story and are excited about the ownership.
This was likely the last development project for Marmot Properties, who is now primarily focusing on general contracting other developer's projects, such as the conversion of the Melting Pot building into a bar, at 1049 South Virginia. Asked why that is, Batuhan cited the 1.5+ year permitting process for 960 South Virginia's conversion into six individual businesses.
