CommRow Climbing Wall Installation Photos

by Mike Van Houten / Jul 28, 2011

Check it out below! I got roof access and took a couple shots from the top looking down as well. The wall will extend as far as 8 feet out from the building, creating some seriously cool overhangs. I threw the bike taxis in there just because they're cool. The sides of the climbing wall will be enclosed to prevent birds from nesting on the supports and for aesthetic value.

Saw it today, and was super impressed with the scale. This thing is going to be amazing! Love the pedicabs too!

How did you get access to the roof? You're not working for these guys again, like The Montage, are you?

I do try to be positive about this thing, but I had occasion to go downtown Tuesday and look at the construction. There was no one working on the building that I could see, and I noticed the marquee has been left in place below the wall. One thing I found odd was the struts supporting the balcony over Virginia were place THROUGH the old marquee, punching holes in it. Didn't look like it was a pro job here. Hopefully this will be a well made remodel of the building...
