The 661 Lake Street project is going before city council on Wednesday to correct an error regarding their application for the 1000 homes in 120 Days program. Not all of the residential units were included in the original application.
Their plans however, according to the staff report for Wednesday's meeting, have evolved to now include a 13-story tower.

This project is located on the block between 6th and 7th Street and Center and Lake Street. It's across the street from Canyon Flats being constructed between 6th and 7th Street and Center and Virginia Street.
The project details:
Six-story student housing complex with max of 200 units and mix of two, three and four bedroom units for 600+ total beds
13-story apartment complex, including five story parking garage, 275 units, mix of studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units.
Joint venture by Scenic Acquisitions Corp and K Giles, LLC (the developers)
Amenities include:
- Courtyard with pool, bbq grills, outdoor lounge areas and landscaping
- Fitness facility with cardio and strength training equip, yoga studio and cycling room
- Indoor lounge with televisions,
- Study rooms and business center
- 4,000 sf retail

Construction should start within 18 months (the block was already demolished a few months ago) and completion in 2022.
