Midtown Construction

Residential

Well, that didn't take long! Walk down Holcomb, Sinclair, Moran or Stewart Streets and you'll likely see tale-tell green dumpsters scattered about. Click here to learn the details of this assemblage of property, known to Midtown locals as the Megaproperty.

I'm not sure what they have planned as part of their $1 million+ investment into these two blocks, but even minor landscaping will be a significant improvement.

The rumor is the house pictured in the right of the photo above will be demolished for a community garden, though plans aren't finalized.

Commercial

What used to be a shoddy 4-plex (see below, and yes, the units were really that small) is being converted into a quaint neighborhood dollar-store (see above) which the owners describes as catering to local residents. The building is a significant improvement from the prior iteration.

I know somebody who used to live in what is soon to be the neighborhood dollar store. Yes, it really was that small inside and not really that pleasant. It had the reputation as being the only residential building from which one could see (at that time) BOTH of the adult bookstores in town at once!
