Greetings all! Here's a few tidbits:
- According to RGJ's Food Blog, the former owner of Sezmu signed a lease with West Street Market. This is fantastic news for West Street Market. Assuming it's on par with Sezmu's quality of food and atmosphere, a higher-end dining establishment will be a great complement to West Street Wine Bar.
- If you didn't notice in these downtown construction pictures I uplaoded on June 3, a new restaurant is moving into 275 Hill Street as well. They open on Thursday.
- GourMelt will be in the Amendment 21 Parking Lot from 11 until 2 pm today!
- In the final hours of the Nevada Legislative Session, two items were passed that will affect downtown. A Reno Aces surcharge will help the Reno Aces owners meet bond obligations, although I'm not quite sure why this had to go through the state. Also, a $2 room tax for strictly downtown hotels will generate revenue to improve and renovate the National Bowling Stadium, the Reno Events Center and the Reno Ballroom.
FYI: What I understand is that there will be three new restaurants opened by the same owner...
