Downtown Reno Activity
- It looks like La Famiglia will have two neighbors this summer in the State Street building: Fuego - Libations and Tapas with the slogan "It's Spicy, It's Social, It's Saucy, It's Hot." and between it and La Famiglia "Fairly Ground Coffee and Tea" both opening August 2010.
- The River Room next to Wild River Grille is now open. The interior turned out nice.
- There is construction of some kind going on at the Old Cold Stone Creamery next to Taco Del Mar. Is Divine Ultralounge perhaps expanding into that space? Or something new?
- There are contractor signs now up at the Woolworths project, but no visible activity on the pending remodel yet. The plan is to turn the bottom two floors into walls of glass and fix other parts of the building up to entice tenants.
- I'm hearing rumors of some cool things coming for the Freight House district, including beach style sand volleyball courts, and the possibility of showing outdoor movies projected on the back of the old Freight House building, although the rumor mill says that's not a for sure thing yet. I say, do it!
- Another project to keep your eye on is Imperial/Lincoln Lounge's new pub and eatery, Old Granite Street Eatery.
- New Ice Cream Shop coming to Wells Avenue.
- This hot dog cart downtown on the river by Center Street had the most awesome pretzel I've had in a while.

Congratulations to Ryan, Justin, and everyone involved in Old Granite...it will be a welcome addition to a great old restaurant space. Undoubtedly it will be done right, with tribute paid to the tradition of that location.
