With just two albums behind her, Carrie has built a career that would be the treasured work of a lifetime for most artists. The breadth and depth of her work speaks for itself--songs like "Jesus, Take The Wheel," "Before He Cheats," "So Small," "All-American Girl," "Last Name" and "Just A Dream," among others, have been a rich part of the new millennium's musical soundscape. She has passed the ten million mark in CD sales and become the first country artist in history to achieve ten #1 singles from her first two albums. She is reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, just the seventh woman in the show's 42-year history to take that crown, and has been both ACM and CMA Female Vocalist of the Year for three consecutive years. Her list of awards includes five CMAs and eight ACMs, as well as four Grammys and a host of others from People's Choice, Billboard, the American Music Awards, Teen Choice, CMT and many others. She has twice been chosen co-host of the CMA Awards, and she was the top-selling country female touring artist of 2008, as her headlining "Carnival Ride Tour" played to more than 1.2 million people.

Carrie Under wood fans have a lot to be excited about! Not only is she up for two Grammys, but she will be hitting the road in March to kick off her North American tour. In a statement on her site she wrote, "I am getting so excited about next year as we are currently working through all the big plans for the tour. I cannot wait to perform new music and see familiar faces across the U.S. and Canada!" Joining Carrie on the stage will be special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.

The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a two-act musical, written by David Nehls and Betsy Kelso. It was performed in the first annual New York Music Theater Festival in 2004. Trailer Park opened off-Broadway at Bows at Dodger Stages on September 27, 2005, and starred Marya Grandy (Lin), Linda Hart (Betty), Shuler Hensley (Norbert), Kaitlin Hopkins (Jeanne), Leslie Kritzer (Pickles), Orfeh (Pippi), and Wayne Wilcox (Duke).

"'South Park' meets 'Desperate Housewives'!"
-The New York Sun

"Adultery, strippers, murderous ex-boyfriends, Costco and the Ice Capades. Undeniable fun!"
-The New York Post

"A show that actually lives up to the hype of its title!"
-The Village Voice

"How many elastic-lunged, Broadway-caliber divas stuffed into hot pants and heels can you fit into a double-wide trailer, and still have room for the big-screen TV set? The answer's about five, according to this BRIGHT NEW SHOW WITH ITS ALTOGETHER TERRIFIC CAST. The vibrant Linda Hart sparkles. Orfeh and Kaitlin Hopkins are first-rate singers given ample chances to display their gifts. Flat-out hilarious newcomer Leslie Kritzer is a consistent source of off-kilter brilliance. And it's good to hear Shuler Hensley's rich voice again. The show is handsomely produced--Markas Henry's camps costumes, Derek McLane's boldly colored set and Donald Holder's flavorful lighting are all top-notch. David Nehl's music, a blend of pop idioms ranging from country balladry to R & B to rockabilly, is appealing and raises a hearty chuckle."
-Charles Isherwood, NY Times

"A DELICIOUS NEW MUSICAL. The joint is jammed and jumping with raucous laughter. It's like 'The Honeymooners' meets 'The Best Little Whorehouse' in 'Urinetown.'"
-Liz Smith, Syndicated Columnist/NY Post

"The Trailer Park meets 'South Park' in this big-hearted new musical comedy with a cheeky script by Betsy Kelso, an infectious score by David Nehls and a richly talented cast. Trailer Park sparkles with treasure!"
-Liesl Schillinger, The New York Sun

"Joyful and unashamedly vulgar, Betsy Kelso's comic fable about women in a Florida trailer park and their no-account men is more fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer set to music. When a stripper named Pippi (the incandescent Orfeh) moves into Armadillo Acres, on the run from a permanent-marker-sniffing loon named Duke, she gets sympathy from the park's ruling clique, Betty (Linda Hart, a bleached-blond Eartha Kitt with mighty lungs), Linoleum (Marya Grandy), and Pickles (the very funny Leslie Kritzer)--until she steals somebody's husband. The rousing songs, by David Nehls, include the ballad "I Gotta Make Like a Nail (and Press On)," which has the wattage of the disco hit "I Will Survive." And the ingenious set, by Derek McLane ("I Am My Own Wife"), belongs in an art gallery."
-The New Yorker

"Trailer Park has talented performers with terrific voices, funny jokes, and a priceless comic characterization. Sergio Trujillo's droll choreography is amusing and refreshing."
-David Rooney, Variety

Previously exhibited at Burning Man in 2006, Duel Nature, by artist Kate Raudenbush, is unique in its materials, (Plasma cut steel, steel tubing, red acrylic mirror) scale (38’ x 38’) and artistic vision. During Artown, fire dancers and spinners from Controlled Burn will entertain Tuesday evenings 8:00 – 10:00. Hula Hoopers from Velocity Movement and bohohoops present “GET HOOPED” at Hoop Jams on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 – all levels and ages are welcome. Hula hoops provided or bring your own!

"Duel Nature references the spiral of our human DNA. The struggle inherent to the duality of the human condition is expressed by the violence of the raw plasma-cut, bolted steel exterior, in contrast with the vitality of the interior blood-red mirror. As visitors gather inside the vibrant core of the sculpture, their myriad reflections remind us of our shared genetic bond and our shared humanity," says the artist Kate Raudenbush.

Genre: Rock / Metal / Post Punk. Excerpt From Neu Magazine:

"Jacuzzi Boys's sound is most associated with garage, psychedelia, and perfect sprinkles of reverb and fuzz. Whipping up two kind of songs - some of them with a beat and rhythm that make it impossible for your feet to stay still others slow with mellow vocals, they're the perfect accompaniment to a humid summer day on the beach or relaxing in the tub after.

After a couple of EPs and splits (with King Khan and Woven Bones), they released they debut LP No Seasons last year on Florida's Dying and have a new 7" 'Bricks or Coconuts' due out on Mexican Summer soon."

Ppopular Honky Tonk Hangover music series has been revived again for a new run of shows. For the third consecutive summer, Leroy Virgil, one of Reno’s most authentic country musicians, will be bringing his unique blend of music and storytelling to the Sierra Tap House.

All shows are free and Sierra Tap House will be offering drink specials each night of the series. Leroy Virgil is best known for his work with Outlaw Country band Hellbound Glory and the group Leroy Virgil and the Loaded Dice, which plays classic country covers.

Extradition Music is not a style or a sound. It is about a place, a place that has a long lineage in the annals of Outlaw Country, Alt-Country, Americana and Roots Rock music. Reno has been the home of the fictitious crimes as sung by Johnny Cash and Woody Guthrie; the rambling of Tom Waits, The Grateful Dead and Merle Haggard; and the home of acts like Hellbound Glory, The Saddle Tramps and Richmond Fontaine. Reno is where their characters run to when they want to break the law, and run from when the deeds are done. Extradition Music aims to bring this cast of bad men, led by the great Johnny Cash himself, back to Reno to face the music.
