by Mike Van Houten / Nov 20, 2014

One of downtown's most popular attractions in the winter will open November 25, on Tuesday, after the tree lighting ceremony.

The Reno Aces Baseball Club is pleased to announce the addition of downtown Reno's ice skating rink to Aces Ballpark, beginning with the 2014-2015 holiday season.

The skating rink, a holiday tradition since 2005, will move to the plaza in front of Aces Ballpark for its tenth season, beginning the week of Thanksgiving.

The Freight House District, along with Arroyo Mexican Grill will be open throughout winter to serve food and drinks to skaters and spectators.

The Aces Team Shop, adjacent to the rink, will also be open throughout winter. Scarves, gloves and other cold-weather gear will be available for purchase.

Weekly hours will vary with different skate sessions Monday-Friday. Hours on Saturdays are 10:00 a.m. - 11:15 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. - 8:45 p.m. on Sundays. A full schedule, including holiday sessions can be found here.

Exclusive group reservations of 20 or more can be made by contacting Brian Moss at (775) 334-7018.

The rink will be open through mid-February, weather and ice conditions permitting.
