Tuesday September 1 - Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board Meeting -
1. West Street Market - Discussion and input on West Street Market status and possible strategies.
2. Discussion and recommendation from staff regarding revisions to the Reno Opportunity
Growth Fund - A program with a better payback rate than most banks have. Loans to small businesses at $50,000 a chunk, a revolving fund. I doubt they will scrap the program, but the redevelopment agency board did want more oversight. This will go before the Redevelopment Agency Board on September 9, 2009.
3. Reno Post Office - Discussion and approval of the purchase and leaseback agreement for the United States Post Office site (APN 011-110-01) in the amount of $5.1 million (GO Bonds). This will go before the Redevelopment Agency Board on September 9, 2009.
4. Priority Projects - Presentation, discussion and potential direction to staff regarding RDA #1 and RDA #2
financial position and priorities. This will go before the Redevelopment Agency Board on September 9, 2009.
5. Budget - Update and Discussion of Redevelopment Agency Budget & Financial Information that was presented at the AUGUST 18, 2009 MEETING.

Wednesday September 2 - Planning Commission Meeting -
1. University Gateway - The land between Virginia, Evans, I-80 and 9th Street will be 'moved' from the West University Neighborhood Plan to the University of Nevada Regional Center Plan. This will allow the sub designation of the land to go from Regional Center and Transit Corridor and Parks and Recreation to Commercial, Residential, and Open Space. While no projects are currently proposed for this gateway concept, this at least aligns the land with the envisioned use, which would be a little mini University Village with retail and open space.
2. Knitting Factory - Yes! Knitting Factory will be asking for a special use permit for a 6,534 s.f. nightclub. Please let this happen and approve it!
