I take back all the negative things I said about this mall/lifestyle center. The Legends is impressive and a very welcome addition to our area. It's very much akin to The Gateway in Salt Lake if any of you are familiar w/ that outdoor mall. There are fountains and artwork everywhere you look and plenty of space for people to gather. It's more than just a group of good stores in a row like a strip mall or The Summit. In fact, to compare The Legends to The Summit is an insult to the former. I can't wait for the IMAX theatre and a few more restaurants to open. Once they do, this will truly be some place special.

I was also impressed with the Legends layout and the landscape, water features, NV Legends "walk of fame", etc. Even though there are unfinished stores and temporary walls/dirt patches, when this complex completes is later phases it will be a top-notch shopping destination! Today was a browsing day for me (still spent nearly 3 hours there), but some of the factory stores will probably receive some of my business when I'm in need of new clothing. One odd observation--the restrooms were strangely placed at the end of a maze of corridors, far from their original entrance (next to the Guess store). Also I would have liked to see some more restaurants ready to go--Fudd's surely would have been packed today! (Maybe most restaurants prefer to not be involved in multi-store grand openings due to the overwhelming demand and risk of running out of food?) Although it is spread out over a larger area, I still think the Summit is a clean, well-maintained and elegant shopping area, but I don't mind walking as much as others might. The long-term success of both shopping complexes will greatly benefit the community.
