Legends at Sparks Marina Opening Details
6/10/09 - Grand Opening Day is coming up soon for Legends at Sparks Marina on Thursday, June 18 with a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony featuring live music, entertainment from “Legends” impersonators and much more, followed by a full schedule of family-friendly activities throughout the weekend including the Saturday evening kick off to the free Summer Concert Series. The opening of phase 1 includes dozens of retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues and culminates with 10 days of special events and activities July 31 – Aug. 9. Fourth of July festivities also will take place at the development, including free shuttle service to and from John Ascuaga’s Nugget and the Sparks Marina.
Set to transform the economic and tourist-based landscape of northern Nevada, the project brings immediate employment to 700 local workers in addition to 7,600 construction-related jobs that will have been created upon its completion. The Legends at Sparks Marina expects a draw of 600,000 to 800,000 new visitors annually, in addition to the reported 5 million tourists who currently visit the Reno-Sparks-Tahoe region each year. Taxable sales revenue from The Legends at Sparks Marina is expected at $600 million annually and with the highly successful fall 2008 opening of the 295,000-square-foot Scheels All Sports, all indicators are pointing to yes.
The project, hitting the 2 million-square-foot mark when all is said and done, takes into account the economy and appeals to the masses with a wide selection of company stores – stores that offer limited-run styles, special editions and other fashions from the current season’s collection that are not offered at other stores in the same market.
June 18 celebrates the opening of 24 stores in addition to the five tenants that are already in operation at The Legends at Sparks Marina, with another 16 set to open throughout the summer. Stores scheduled to open for business through Aug. 1, 2009 include:

The Legends doesn’t just rely on retail and dining to draw guests in, it’s also a walking history tour, integrating land and hardscape features that reflect the history and pop culture of Nevada. From larger-than-life dueling cowboys surrounded by three-foot-tall steel tumbleweeds, to life-size airplanes racing through pylons depicting Reno’s National Championship Air Races, and a group of Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, Nevada’s state fish swimming upstream en mass, through a series of fountains, The Legends at Sparks Marina truly reflects those people and activities that make the area legendary. Its full completion reflects RED Development’s commitment to the $1.2 billion project and its success.

What happened to the Brazilian Churascara Steakhouse? Is that dead or coming later?

I didn't see Forever 21 on your list, but I see the signage at Legends. Do you know what the deal is? Thanks!
