So today was the big reveal for the venues going in the new Freight House District downtown.
The Freight House District will start as a year-round entertainment complex 'attached' to Greater Nevada Field, and will include four dining and nightlife venues. The Freight House District will be a self-contained entertainment venue that will routinely feature concerts, festivals and other attractions throughout the year, both in conjunction with and independent of the the ball games. Each restaurant offers a full menu, with extensive dining options for lunch or dinner.
The sports bar, a full-service restaurant and bar located down the left-field line on the second level of Aces Ballpark, will offer a full menu of appetizers and entrees, including Pan Seared Salmon, Blackened Skirt Steak, XXX Wings and the Black & Bleu Burger. The sports bar, set to open on April 8, will give Acers a chance to see the baseball game from their seat inside the bar or from a supplementary outdoor patio. A number of ballpark seats are located just below the sports bar, and these seats will be sold to groups or on an individual basis and include in-seat beverage service.
Duffy’s will be an ale house that will also offer an extensive dining selection for lunch or dinner, including Ale Steamed Mussels, hand-crafted pizzas and a Single-Malt Butterscotch Crème Brulee. Duffy’s will carry more than 50 beers on the menu, and will be open for the Aces’ April 8 Opening Day.
The 250 Lounge is a restaurant and music venue, which will feature a Cajun-style menu including Crispy Fried Oysters, Spice Blackened Tuna and a Muffaletta Salad with a New Orleans olive mix. The 250 Lounge is slated to open in the coming weeks.
Finally, on the ground floor of the Freight House District will be Arroyo Mexican Grill, a high-end Mexican restaurant with three locations currently in California. Arroyo Mexican Grill will feature more than 100 tequilas and patio seating for patrons to enjoy. Arroyo Mexican Grill is scheduled to open this May.
The Freight House District also features an outdoor plaza area, which includes a full-service bar. Patrons can drink and dine outside on the furniture positioned beneath a large translucent roof structure. Patrons can move freely between each establishment and the outdoor plaza once inside the complex.
The Freight House District is set be open year round, debuting next week. When the Aces are playing a home game, a small cover charge will be taken to enter the Freight House District for patrons without an Aces game ticket. On those nights, anyone with a ticket to the game can enter the entertainment complex free of charge, and patrons can freely alternate between the ballpark and Freight House District. Aces home games will be broadcast on the numerous television screens throughout the Freight House District.
Valet parking will be available nightly at the Freight House District.
To date, the Freight House District has hired nearly 200 year round employees, filling both full-time and part-time positions.
